With spring in full swing, it’s time to look forward to baseball games, blooming flowers, and warmer weather. Get your car ready for the increase in temperature by giving your car a good spring clean. After doing that, follow these other spring vehicle maintenance tips to ensure your car is set for upcoming warmer climate.
Keep up with routine maintenance. Your vehicle needs an oil change and tire rotation to continue running smoothly. If you put this off during the cold winter months, it is time to make sure you get these things done now.
Check your tires. As the weather warms up, the air in your tires will increase. As a result, you could end up with overinflated tires. Check your car’s tire pressure to ensure that it is within the recommended value. Find this in your car’s owner manual. Also, make sure your tire tread is still good, too. Get replacements if your tires are balding.
Change out your windshield wipers. Spring means plenty of spring showers to contend with, so check and see if your windshield wipers are in tiptop condition. If you notice streaks or a squeaking noise when your blades operate, change them out. You should change them every six months.
