2020 Honda Ridgeline | Kansas City, MO

2020 has barely begun, and it’s already looking like a solid year for Honda. The Japanese carmaker recently announced its January sales numbers, highlighting that its trucks set a new sales record.

Many of the brand’s trucks saw an increase in year-over-year sales in January. For instance, the Ridgeline had a sales jump up of 57.1 percent for the month of January, with a total of 3,083 deliveries. The Honda HR-V also set an all-time sales record after seeing an increase of 24.8 percent in January sales. Honda also saw the CR-V crossover get a strong start for 2020 with 26,000 sales. As a whole, the Honda brand truck lineup had a rise of 2.3 percent in year-over-year sales, making this past January its best ever.

“As we enter a new decade, we will continue to focus on our core values and maintain the kind of sales discipline that has made us a retail sales leader in the industry,” said Henio Arcangeli Jr., senior vice president of the American Honda Automobile Division. “The arrival of our new CR-V Hybrid next month will also bring new opportunities to further strengthen our light-truck lineup and extend our two-year streak of record electrified vehicle sales.”

The Honda CR-V Hybrid will become the first-ever electrified model in the Honda light-truck lineup when it debuts later this year. With its combination of efficiency, family-friendly features, and ample interior space – not to mention that it’s considered the most powerful CR-V option in the lineup – the CR-V Hybrid is sure to make a splash in Honda sales.
